Lucas Buzzo - Editor and Founder of PickDrones

Lucas Buzzo is the editor and founder of PickDrones. He is an IT professional with more than 10 years of experience in technology and co-author of a peer-reviewed scientific article published in an academic journal.

His authority on drones comes from over a decade running ODrones, the independent Portuguese-language drone portal he founded in 2015. Through ODrones he has published news, analysis, original articles, and interviews with key figures in the Brazilian drone scene, and was interviewed as a drone source by ComCiência, the science journalism magazine published by Labjor at the University of Campinas (Unicamp). PickDrones is the global, bilingual evolution of that work.

How Lucas works

PickDrones is a news and analysis publication, not a hands-on testing lab. Lucas is not a commercial drone pilot - the site's value comes from rigorous sourcing, cross-checking manufacturer specifications and regulatory filings (FAA, EASA, ANAC), and explaining them in plain language, rather than from field reviews.
